Jay was born and raised in Vancouver with a passion for performing arts. At age 18 he started doing open mic nights at local comedy clubs around the city while attending high school. After graduation, Jay was accepted into the Vancouver Film School for two programs, Acting Essentials and Acting for Film & Television. He spent 2 years studying at VFS before graduating with a certificate and diploma in acting and even signed with a principal talent agent before graduating from film school. After his first year working in commercials, film, and television, Jay fell into the world of voice-over and motion capture where he would find major success.

As of today, Jay works as a full-time voice actor and hopes to achieve even more in the industry by helping out his fellow actors through working as a talent agent with Ignite Artists, an agency he fully believes in and plans to put his heart and soul into.
